Welcome to Perfection Cleaning BC's Blog!

Imagine waking up every day faced with a messy, disorganized home. Its frustrating, because often no matter how hard we try, a trail of toys, clothes, and dishes follows us throughout the day. When you try to clean, your children are underfoot, demanding your attention and keeping your house in a constant state of disarray. How do you combat the mess and have that fresh, show home feel in your own house when you have children?

Its easier to keep a house clean when you start with a clean house. Hire an independent house cleaning company for a monthly deep cleaning. House keepers will target the spots in your home that you might not normally have time to clean, such as doors knobs, baseboards, and blinds. Once your home is completely clean, you can begin to put plans into place to keep it that way.

Organization is the key to a clean house. Start by discarding any items that you no longer need, including older clothing, house hold items, or toys that your kids no longer play with. Eliminate toy clutter by putting a large basket wherever you find a toy pile. Children books can all go on shelves in their rooms or on one main shelf for all books. Involve your kids in organizing their toys and books by teaching them how to sort them by type, keeping all of their little pieces and odds and ends together. Children are much more likely to play with their toys if they are all readily available and not missing any pieces.

Dusting and vacuuming go hand in hand. Hand your child a portable duster and involve them in the process. There are many commercial, disposable dusters such as Pledge or Swiffers that your kids will be thrilled to 'play' with. You might have to redust after, but at the very least they will be entertained.

Although it's difficult to keep your home clean when you have children, following these few simple tips can help you keep your home as perfectly clean as any show home.
