Summer is finally here and it seems like it's always to be gone faster than a homemade sparkling peach lemonade on a hot day. Keeping your house and yard clean throughout the warm summer months can pose some challenges, especially with school being out, weekend getaways and out-of-town guests. 1. Schedule your furnace maintenance, having this done before fall will give you piece of mind AND possibly save you money. Same with carpet cleaning, have your home serviced while you are out for the day.
2. While you are enjoying having the windows & doors open, get out thecleaning supplies and tackle the sliding tracks a little at a time.
3. Have a garage sale! Find all the things in your home you don't need and spend the afternoon outside meeting neighbours and making a few extra dollars.
4. Stay on top of your usual cleaning schedule. 
5. Find an outdoor project and involve the family, paint the fence, scrub the deck or create a beautiful outdoor living space.
6. Invite guests over for a BBQ! For some reason we can get A LOT cleaned in the hour before company comes, and BBQing and outdoor entertaining keep the mess to a minimum. Don't be afraid to use paper plates.
7. Stop Dirt at the Door - Invest in a sturdy nylon mat for each door way to prevent dirt, mud and grass from entering your home. No one wants to mop the floors daily!
